The Solar Homes Program offers eligible homeowners a rebate of up to $1,000 — or up to $1,400 for an eligible locally made product — toward the purchase of a heat pump or solar hot water system. The rebate equals 50% of the purchase price, applied after any other discounts.
To be eligible you must be the owner-occupier of the property, have a combined household taxable income under $210,000 per year, a property valued under $3 million, and be replacing a hot water system that is at least three years old.
The VEU program provides an additional upfront discount on top of the Solar Victoria rebate — making the two programs stackable for maximum savings. VEU discounts are delivered by accredited providers directly off the cost of your installation, so you see the saving immediately without waiting for a rebate payment.
